The National Health Commission focuses on the fields of pediatrics, mental health, and psychological health, which have high social attention and a large demand for medical services. Today, it issued a notice on launching the "Pediatric and Mental Health Service Year" action, deploying a special action plan for a period of 3 years. The action is based on the construction of the health system and the daily work of medical institutions, strengthening pediatric, mental health, and psychological health services, effectively improving the accessibility of services, and further meeting the health service needs of the people. It aims to expand pediatric service supply for convenient access to medical care. By the end of November 2025, all national secondary and tertiary public comprehensive hospitals, tertiary traditional Chinese medicine hospitals, and secondary and tertiary maternal and child health hospitals should provide pediatric services. More than 90% of township health centers and community health service centers should be able to provide diagnosis and treatment services for common pediatric diseases. It also aims to optimize the pediatric service process and enhance the medical experience. Providing a full range of pediatric services, establishing a 24-hour green channel for the emergency treatment of critically ill children aged 0-3, strengthening child-friendly transformation of medical institutions, and creating a warm medical environment. Strengthening the construction of smart hospitals to optimize pediatric service processes and facilitate smooth medical treatment for children.
