As the "May Day" holiday approaches, the peak of airline ticket bookings has arrived, with domestic flight ticket bookings increasing by over 30% compared to the same period last year. Prices for some popular flight routes have seen varying degrees of increase. According to data from the aviation and travel industry, as of April 24, over 5.42 million domestic flight tickets have been booked for the "May Day" holiday, an increase of approximately 31% compared to the same period last year. Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and other popular cities remain the most concentrated departure and destination points. The most significant increase in bookings is seen for travel routes in the southwest and northwest directions. Zhao Nan, General Manager of Industry Development for the aviation and travel industry, stated that currently, over 450,000 tickets have been booked for flights to Beijing, a 27% increase compared to last year. The number of airline passengers traveling to popular tourist cities such as Kunming, Haikou, Chengdu, and Nanjing has also seen a significant increase of over 40% compared to the same period last year.
