Beijing: The number of high-value invention patents per 10,000 people ranks first in the country.

In 2024, our city ranked first in the country in terms of the number of high-value invention patents per 10,000 people, and third in the world in the ranking of global technology clusters. Yesterday, the city's Intellectual Property Office introduced at the 2024 Beijing Intellectual Property Protection Status News Conference that last year, the city had 199,702 patents authorized, including 119,635 invention patents; 237,367 trademark registrations; 1,296,782 copyright registrations; 962 applications for plant new varieties, with 361 authorized.
