Orders grow but material prices rise: PCB industry chain collaboratively explores "seeking efficiency from processes"
AI computing power and high-speed optical communications demand continues to be released, the PCB industry chain's performance growth accelerated in the first three quarters, and high-end products have become an important force driving profitability. However, while orders are increasing, rising raw material prices and lengthening equipment delivery cycles are also testing companies' cost control and delivery capabilities. Wind data statistics show that 40 listed companies in PCB and related materials and equipment achieved total operating revenue of 238.006 billion yuan in the first three quarters of 2026, a year-on-year increase of 46.78%; net profit attributable to parent companies was 35.329 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 102.03%. Among them, 38 companies saw revenue growth, and 32 companies' net profit attributable to parent companies grew faster than revenue. The third-quarter reports present a situation in which the industry chain's prosperity is rising while corporate profitability is diverging. Facing upgraded demand and supply constraints, companies are safeguarding operations through product price adjustments and advance stockpiling, while also seeking breakthroughs in materials and processes. Xunjiexing's collaboration with Hongchang Electronics and Nuopei Core Materials to explore a new solution for ultra-fine circuit manufacturing is one such attempt, but whether the new technology can move toward mass production still awaits customer certification and production verification.
