Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region collaboratively builds a new pattern for the entire hydrogen energy industry chain.

Recently, the "Beijing Hydrogen Energy Industry Development Implementation Plan" was released. Leveraging Beijing's strengths in scientific and technological innovation, Tianjin's equipment manufacturing advantages, and Hebei's green electricity resource advantages, the three regions of Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei are working together to build a new development pattern for the entire hydrogen energy industry chain featuring "R&D in Beijing, transformation in Tianjin and Hebei, and application across the region." At present, the hydrogen energy industry in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region has achieved multiple breakthroughs in areas such as transportation demonstrations, lightweight storage and transportation, green hydrogen supply guarantees, industrial decarbonization, energy storage and supply, and livelihood scenarios. It is continuously improving the entire industrial chain system covering production, storage, transportation, refueling, and application, and accelerating the formation of a replicable and scalable new model for coordinated hydrogen energy development in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. The Plan proposes supporting the upgrade of the Beijing Hydrogen Energy Industry Innovation Center into a national-level hydrogen energy innovation center, building an innovation system that integrates technological R&D with industrial application, and systematically laying out hydrogen energy pilot testing platforms in areas such as fuel cell vehicles, liquid hydrogen equipment, high-temperature membrane fuel cells, new electrolytic hydrogen production, and hydrogen internal combustion engines, so as to connect the entire chain of technological breakthroughs, pilot testing and maturation, and industrial implementation.
