Chongqing releases investigation report on Fuling pipeline rupture accident

On the 2nd, the Chongqing Emergency Management Bureau publicly released the investigation report on the pipeline rupture accident at Chongqing Fuling Xingfu Electric Power Company. The accident investigation team determined that the accident was a relatively major production safety responsibility accident caused by the power generation branch of Chongqing Xingfu Electric Power Development Co., Ltd. failing to implement the safety risk classification control system, failing to eliminate the safety hazard of corrosion thinning of the penstock wall, failing to perform welding treatment on the penstock as required, and failing to clearly define safety management measures for the overlapping operations of power generation and anti-corrosion reinforcement.
