At the opening ceremony of the 2026 Greater Bay Area Science Forum held on November 1, the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China released the "Disruptive Technology Outlook 2026" report, selecting 40 technologies with significant recent breakthrough progress. These 40 technologies span five major fieldsartificial intelligence, next-generation information technology, life and health, new energy, and new materials and advanced manufacturingand all share the common characteristics of significant recent breakthrough progress and the potential to foster future disruptive innovation directions. As the relevant technologies continue to evolve and their application scenarios expand, they are continuously generating new industries, new models, and new momentum.
