A fire broke out in an open area outside the perimeter wall of a factory in Xingning, Guangdong. Local authorities responded: it was caused by burning weeds that ignited stacked discarded fiberglass.

According to the Xingning Converged Media Center, it was learned from the emergency department that at around 10:50 on October 31, 2026, a fire occurred on the open ground outside the Phase I perimeter wall of the plant area of Xingning Tianyu Bioenergy Technology Co., Ltd. on Gongye Avenue in the Xingning Industrial Park. After receiving the alarm, units including the Xingning Fire and Rescue Brigade, the Industrial Park Management Committee, and the Yetang Town People's Government rushed to the scene immediately to carry out emergency response. By 11:30, the open flames had been extinguished, with no casualties or property losses. According to a preliminary investigation, the cause of the fire was the burning of weeds, which ignited discarded fiberglass reinforced plastic piled on the open ground, resulting in relatively thick smoke. At present, relevant departments are further verifying the detailed cause of the fire.
