Binance says it has recovered 90% of the assets stolen in the recent security incident and will open withdrawals on Sunday.
Binance said it has recovered 90% of the assets stolen in a recent security incident, up from 80% previously. The company has allocated more than $6.34 billion in corporate funds to cover losses caused by the hack. The remaining 10% consists of lower-liquidity tokens outside the top ten of the affected assets. Binance plans to reopen user withdrawals on Sunday. Binance has committed to replenishing its SAFU emergency reserve to about $1 billion. The futures insurance fund has been rebalanced to help cover the affected assets; the fund size remains above the required level.
