Shanghai and Hong Kong strengthen cross-border financial dispute mediation cooperation, promoting alignment of mediation mechanisms between the two places.
On October 30, the 10th Working Meeting on Shanghai-Hong Kong Financial Cooperation was held in Shanghai. Li Junjie, Executive Deputy Director of the Office of the Financial Commission of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, stated that building the two major international financial centers of Hong Kong and Shanghai is a major national strategy. Under the new circumstances, both places should not only leverage their respective strengths but also work together in a coordinated manner. In recent years, the Shanghai-Hong Kong financial market interconnection mechanism has been further improved, the strategic complementary effect of Shanghai-Hong Kong offshore finance has become more evident, and the connotation of jointly building a financial product and service system has been further expanded. Taking this meeting as an opportunity, Shanghai and Hong Kong will translate the meeting consensus into concrete cooperation projects and push the coordinated development of Shanghai-Hong Kong finance to new heights. At this meeting, the Shanghai Financial Consumer Dispute Resolution Center and the Hong Kong Financial Dispute Resolution Centre signed a memorandum of cooperation. The memorandum aims to promote the exchange and alignment of financial dispute resolution mechanisms between the two places and strengthen cross-border cooperation in financial dispute resolution services.
