Reduce Logistics Costs: National Standard "Basic Requirements for Smart Freight Hubs" Released
The reporter learned today that the State Administration for Market Regulation has approved the release of the national standard "Basic Requirements for Smart Freight Hubs." This standard is China's first national standard in the field of smart freight hubs and will take effect on April 1, 2027. In terms of general provisions, the standard specifies requirements for hub site selection and layout, facility and equipment configuration, application of advanced technologies, and cybersecurity, and sets differentiated business function configuration requirements for different types of hubs. Regarding information platform construction, it specifies requirements for hardware equipment, network transmission, data storage, and computing resources, and encourages platforms to provide artificial intelligence service functions such as agent orchestration, model training and inference, and evaluation. Regarding intelligent facilities and equipment, it specifies functional requirements for the main operational facilities and equipment of hubs, including intelligent gates, warehouses, yards, and docks, as well as intelligent security inspection, warehousing, and loading and unloading equipment. Regarding smart operations and smart management, it specifies functional requirements in two aspects: hub production operations and operational management. Operations cover production scheduling, vehicle management, sorting, warehousing, and other business activities, while management includes office, security, equipment, environment, energy, and emergency response, among other aspects. The release and implementation of this standard will provide technical guidance for the intelligent upgrading of freight hubs, help remove bottlenecks and obstacles in multimodal transport, reduce social logistics costs, and support high-quality development of the national economy.
