Long-term large-denomination certificates of deposit are being launched in clusters, and the logic of bank liabilities is changing.
Recently, Hengfeng Bank and several of its branches simultaneously announced the issuance of 5-year large-denomination certificates of deposit, with an annualized interest rate of 1.75%, a minimum deposit of 200,000 yuan, and available to all customers across the bank. This is also a long-term product that had been absent for a long time from the bank's large-denomination certificate of deposit shelf, which had previously been dominated by products with terms of within 2 years. Since entering October, China CITIC Bank, Zhangdian Rural Commercial Bank, Xizang Bank, and several other banks have also successively resumed issuing long-term large-denomination certificates of deposit.
