NASA announces latest arrangements for the Artemis 3 mission.
NASA announced the latest arrangements for the "Artemis 3" mission on the 23rd. According to the plan, the mission will send four astronauts into low Earth orbit in 2027, where they will successively conduct rendezvous and docking tests with lunar landing system test vehicles developed by Blue Origin and SpaceX, preparing for the subsequent crewed lunar landing mission "Artemis 4." The "Artemis 3" mission is planned to last 14 days and will use three different launch vehicles to send into space the test version of Blue Origin's "Blue Moon Mark 2" lunar lander, the "Orion" crew spacecraft, and the "Starship" test vehicle, respectively. The mission aims to verify the ability of different spacecraft to work collaboratively in orbit, rehearse key procedures such as rendezvous, docking, and in-cabin operations, and reduce the risks of future crewed lunar landings.
