This morning, the State Council Information Office held a press conference on strengthening cultural heritage protection during the 15th Five-Year Plan period. A relevant official from the National Cultural Heritage Administration introduced that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the number of museums nationwide grew from 5,788 to 7,188, receiving over 6.2 billion visits in total, hosting 224,000 exhibitions and conducting 2.251 million educational activities. Exhibitions such as "Why China" sparked widespread public discussion, drawing audiences from across the country and even overseas, with "traveling to a city for an exhibition" becoming a cultural phenomenon, and the role of museums as cultural institutions and bridges becoming increasingly prominent.
