Hengqin Port joint one-stop lane inbound and outbound vehicle traffic exceeds 10 million trips
According to statistics from the Hengqin Exit-Entry Border Checkpoint under the Zhuhai General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection, as of October 13, 2026, the "joint one-stop" lanes at the Hengqin Port have processed a cumulative total of more than 10 million inbound and outbound vehicle trips since trial operation began on September 26, 2023, as Guangdong-Macao connectivity continues to accelerate. It is reported that the "joint one-stop" lanes at the Hengqin Port adopt the country's first Guangdong-Macao vehicle clearance model featuring "cooperative inspection, single-release." This model integrates the procedures of five inspection authorities from Guangdong and Macao, changing the traditional "two locations, two inspections" into "one queue, centralized collection, joint inspection and release," cutting vehicle clearance time from the original 8 minutes to within 100 seconds. According to statistics from the Hengqin Border Checkpoint, over the past three years, cross-border vehicle traffic at the port has grown at an average annual rate of 42%. Zeng Xiang, deputy head of the Hengqin Border Checkpoint, introduced: "As of October 6, inbound and outbound vehicles through the Hengqin Port this year have exceeded 3.5 million trips, surpassing last year's total for the whole year. It is expected that vehicle traffic this year will exceed 4 million trips for the first time and could reach 4.5 million trips." The steady rise in cross-border vehicle traffic confirms the continued release of the results of customs clearance facilitation reform.
