Zhao Yide Meets with Tran Thanh Man, Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam, and His Delegation

On October 13, Zhao Yide, Secretary of the CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Shaanxi Provincial People's Congress, met with a delegation led by Tran Thanh Man, Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam, in Xi'an. On behalf of the CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee, the Standing Committee of the Shaanxi Provincial People's Congress, and the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government, Zhao Yide welcomed Tran Thanh Man and his delegation to Shaanxi and briefed them on Shaanxi's economic and social development. He said that in April this year, General Secretary and President Xi Jinping and General Secretary and President To Lam, who visited China, reached new important common understandings, providing strategic guidance for the relations between the two parties and two countries and for the advancement of the world socialist cause. At present, Shaanxi is thoroughly studying and implementing the important speeches and instructions made by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his inspections of Shaanxi, deeply integrating itself into the overall framework of Belt and Road cooperation, accelerating the building of an inland highland for reform and opening up, and striving to write a new chapter in Shaanxi's practice of Chinese modernization. Standing at a new starting point, we will earnestly implement the important common understandings of the top leaders of the two parties and two countries, follow the overall goal of the "six betters," advance high-quality practical cooperation in such areas as economy and trade, agriculture, people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and connectivity, and make greater contributions to accelerating the building of a China-Vietnam community with a shared future that carries strategic significance at a higher level. Tran Thanh Man congratulated Shaanxi on its achievements in economic and social development. He said that Vietnam and China are good neighbors, good friends, good comrades, and good partners connected by mountains and rivers and sharing a close bond. During this visit to Shaanxi, he fully felt the major achievements China has made under the outstanding leadership of General Secretary Xi Jinping and the warmth and friendliness of the Chinese people. He expressed the hope that this visit would serve as an opportunity to continuously enhance mutual friendship, promote exchanges and interactions, further deepen cooperation in various fields, and help Vietnam-China relations achieve new results.
