The debt financing boom to raise funds for AI infrastructure construction is pitting governments and tech giants against each other in a battle for capital. Bank of America strategists say this trend is driving up borrowing costs for developing countries, whose bond yields are already under upward pressure from geopolitical concerns, high oil prices and rising policy rates. Since the second half of this year, the average yield on emerging-market dollar bonds has surged by nearly 1 percentage point, reaching its highest level since April last year. Institutional data shows that in the second half of this year alone, just two tech giants, Amazon and Google parent Alphabet Inc., have issued debt totaling the equivalent of about $70 billion. By comparison, international bond issuance by emerging-market sovereign borrowers has halved to $45 billion since July 1, down from $91 billion a year earlier. Among them, bond issuance by investment-grade emerging-market countries fell 56% to $29 billion.

According to EmberCN monitoring, Strategy purchased 250 BTC last week at an average price of $86,194, worth approximately $21.55 million. The company currently holds 848,250 BTC, with a position value of approximately $70.532 billion, an average cost of $75,444, an unrealized gain of approximately $6.536 billion, and a return rate of 10.2%. Bitmine purchased 12,532 ETH last week at an average price of approximately $2,601, worth approximately $32.6 million. It currently holds 6,028,946 ETH, worth approximately $15.319 billion, with an average cost of $3,334, an unrealized loss of approximately $4.781 billion, and a loss margin of 23.8%. Tom Lee previously stated at the TOKEN2049 conference in Singapore that Bitmine will stop increasing its holdings once its ETH position reaches 5% of the total supply. It is currently about 77,442 ETH away from this target. Based on the recent pace of accumulation, Bitmine may reach the target in about one month.
