Airfare prices have fallen noticeably, accommodation discounts have increased, and off-peak travel after the holiday continues to heat up.
In golden October, the tourism market is rolling out a "high cost-effectiveness" combination punch. Data from online travel platforms show that, as of now, the average ticket price for popular cities has dropped by more than 30% compared with the National Day holiday. Departing from major source markets such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, many airfares on routes that were popular during the holiday have already fallen to the 200 to 300 yuan range. Air ticket bookings for mid-to-late October through November have consequently increased significantly.
