The Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention advises that this month special attention should be paid to respiratory infectious diseases such as COVID-19 and influenza; mosquito-borne infectious diseases such as dengue fever, chikungunya fever, and Zika virus disease; Ebola virus disease; severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome; and mpox. Schools and childcare institutions need to focus on preventing common infectious diseases such as hand, foot, and mouth disease, chickenpox, norovirus gastroenteritis, influenza, and COVID-19 infection.
