Food poisoning incident in Madagascar's capital leaves 183 hospitalized

Madagascar's Minister of Communication and Culture, Mandehindrarivony, said on the evening of the 8th that a food poisoning incident occurred at an enterprise in the capital Antananarivo, and at least 183 people were taken to hospital for treatment. Mandehindrarivony told reporters that evening at the hospital treating the affected patients that all those with food poisoning were employees of the company, and preliminary speculation suggested it may be related to meals they ate in the company cafeteria. There are currently no reports of deaths. Mandehindrarivony denied that there was any poisoning in this incident, and said that relevant departments have collected samples and carried out testing, with the analysis results yet to be announced.
