Various activities across Guangdong unleash holiday consumption potential; "national subsidies" and "provincial subsidies" drive nearly 4.4 billion yuan in consumption over three days.
During the National Day holiday, 21 cities in Guangdong carried out a dense array of holiday consumption promotion activities, effectively unleashing the potential of holiday spending. According to the Provincial Department of Commerce, from October 1 to 4, all 21 cities across the province invested more than 1 billion yuan in subsidy funds, implemented national and provincial subsidy policies, distributed catering, cultural tourism, and business district consumption vouchers, and held more than 660 events, with multiple discounts stacking up to benefit consumers. According to monitoring feedback data from the Ministry of Commerce, from October 1 to 3, retail sales across the province increased by 7.5% year on year, catering revenue increased by 6.7% year on year, and the "national subsidy" plus "provincial subsidy" drove nearly 4.4 billion yuan in consumption; trade-in subsidy funds for consumer goods totaled 237 million yuan, up 301.8% year on year, driving 2.159 billion yuan in sales, up 148.8% year on year. During the National Day holiday, a number of commercial landmarks in Guangdong opened in a concentrated push, building momentum for expanded consumption during the Golden Week. Three top-tier commercial complexesGuangzhou Bai'etan MixC, Julong Bay Taikoo Li, and Foshan MixC Worldopened simultaneously, creating new consumption landmarks in the Greater Bay Area.
