Hubei expands national subsidy scope: robots, digital cameras, drones, blood pressure monitors, and others all eligible for a 15% subsidy.
In order to implement the relevant requirements of the Implementation Opinions of the Ministry of Commerce and Eight Other Departments on Accelerating the Development of "Artificial Intelligence + Consumption," further unlock the consumption potential of intelligent terminal products in Hubei Province, promote the deep integration of artificial intelligence and consumption, and enhance residents' quality of home life, Hubei Province has optimized and adjusted the subsidy policy for newly added categories under the 2026 consumer goods trade-in program. The new rules will officially take effect on October 1, 2026. This adjustment is carried out on the basis of the original 2026 Work Plan for Subsidies for Newly Added Categories under the Consumer Goods Trade-In Program in Hubei Province. The total number of subsidized categories remains unchanged at 10, and all other policy requirements, including the subsidy application process and review rules, remain unchanged. Only the scope of subsidized categories has been restructured and optimized. In this adjustment, the original subsidized categories such as smart speakers, smart air purifiers, and ventilators have been removed; some categories have been split and reorganized, with sweep-and-mop machines and window-cleaning robots, which were previously included under intelligent service robots, established as a separate "smart cleaning equipment" category; smart dishwashers have been expanded and upgraded into "smart kitchen appliances," and smart disinfection cabinets have been newly added to the subsidy scope; at the same time, the definition of intelligent service robots has been broadened to newly include embodied robots, cooking robots, exoskeleton robots, companion robots/robot dogs, and other products.
