According to the Financial Times, Tencent has agreed to lease multiple Oracle data centers in Southeast Asia for a term of five years. The agreement gives Tencent access to approximately 100,000 advanced AI chips that it cannot obtain in China, allowing it to further advance its AI models and develop agent tools. People familiar with the matter said the deal is estimated to be worth about $7 billion, with a prepayment ratio of about 30%.
