John Lee pointed out that Hong Kong's First Five-Year Plan is both logical and focused. It is a comprehensive deployment that, on the basis of a thorough review of Hong Kong's current strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and risks, makes targeted efforts to strengthen strengths and remedy shortcomings, seize opportunities and manage risks. The First Five-Year Plan focuses on six major areas, fits Hong Kong's uniqueness, upholds the principle of "One Country, Two Systems," and clearly defines Hong Kong's international positioning. Hong Kong is the only city in the world that brings together both national opportunities and international opportunities. The core of the First Five-Year Plan is precisely to unleash this superimposed advantage, firmly establish Hong Kong's position as a hub in the domestic and international dual circulation, and give full play to its role as a "super connector" and "super value-adder." "When all forces are gathered, nothing cannot be overcome; when the wisdom of all is applied, nothing cannot be achieved." John Lee said that the First Five-Year Plan for Hong Kong is the collective wisdom consolidated after extensive consultation. The SAR government will translate words into action, plan for the overall situation with a long-term vision, open a new chapter through reform, promote development and create opportunities, and benefit people's livelihood for the future. It will formulate the 2026 Policy Address, roll out policy measures in various fields, and begin the first year of work to implement the five-year blueprint. John Lee said he is confident that as long as we all work together in our respective positions and contribute our strength jointly, Hong Kong will surely have boundless prospects. He wished the motherland prosperity and strength, and Hong Kong prosperity and stability.
