Minister of Water Resources Li Guoying said at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office on September 30 as part of the "Getting Off to a Good Start in the 15th Five-Year Plan" series that coordinated and integrated construction of water networks at all levels will be advanced to open up the "last mile" of the water network. Efforts will be made to ensure that by the end of the 15th Five-Year Plan period, the national water network will cover 82 percent of the country's land area.
