Fuel shortage in Mozambique eases, supply gradually returning to normal

Mozambique's Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy said fuel supply in the capital will return to normal after some gas stations ran out on Tuesday. In a statement Tuesday evening, the ministry said Friday's public holiday caused "logistical strain," disrupting fuel deliveries and leading some gas stations in Maputo to sell out. The statement said tanker truck loading at the Matola fuel terminal has approached the daily average, and current inventories are sufficient to guarantee supply to the capital.
