Sources: AMD CEO Lisa Su to visit South Korea next month

Industry sources say AMD CEO Lisa Su plans to visit South Korea next month to meet with executives of South Korean semiconductor companies and government officials. This is her second visit to South Korea in about seven months, following her trip in March this year. According to South Korean government and semiconductor industry sources, the parties plan to hold an industry conference in Seoul on October 8, which Su will attend. The CEOs of South Korean local AI chip companies Rebellions, FuriosaAI, and Mobilint are expected to attend. Su also plans to meet with South Korean Minister of Science and ICT Bae Kyung-hoon, while arrangements are also being made for a meeting with Samsung Electronics management. Samsung has supplied AMD with HBM3E high-bandwidth memory chips since 2025, supporting AMD's latest AI product solutions, and the two sides have close business cooperation.
