Trump launches new AI-driven website America.gov as a one-stop entry point for government services.

President Donald Trump unveiled a new AI-powered website Tuesday that's intended to serve as a one-stop shop for government services. Trump signed an executive order directing all federal agencies to integrate public-facing systems with the new website, America.gov, "so all of those interfaces will plug directly into our great, brilliant brain, a super brain." Trump promoted the website during a daylong event that featured tech leaders including Tesla's Elon Musk, Nvidia's Jensen Huang and Blue Origin LLC's Dave Limp. The public will be able to apply for benefits, forward mail or change their name through the website. The project is led by Airbnb Inc. co-founder Joe Gebbia, whom Trump tapped as the U.S. government's first chief design officer. "There's one topic that unites everyone, men and women, young and old, regardless of politics: government websites are a nightmare," Gebbia said Tuesday at a Silicon Valley-style product launch. The new America.gov tool will serve as the homepage of the federal government, allowing users to ask questions in natural language to get what they need instead of searching through more than 29,000 government websites. Starting in 2027, the website will "move from answering questions to taking action," Gebbia said. He said the website was developed with the assistance of Google's Gemini and SpaceXAI Grok.
