The reporter learned from the Passenger Transport Center of China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. that starting from September 26, the railway department will gradually adjust the bookable date range for the train ticket reservation service piloted on the Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway and the Beijing-Shanghai Railway from 60 days to 17 days before departure to 30 days to 17 days before departure. Passengers can submit reservation requests through the "Reserved Ticket Purchase" section of the Railway 12306 mobile app. On September 26, tickets for travel dates before November 24 can be reserved; from September 27 to October 26 is the adjustment transition period, and tickets for travel dates up to November 24 can be reserved; starting from October 27, train tickets can be reserved on a regular basis from 30 days to 17 days before departure. An official from the Passenger Transport Center of China State Railway Group introduced that since the pilot train ticket reservation service began on July 20, in order to continuously improve passengers' ticket-buying experience and better match transport capacity with demand, the railway department has carefully analyzed relevant data on reservation orders, extensively collected and reviewed user feedback and suggestions, and optimized the system. Starting from September 26, the furthest reservation date for the ticket reservation service will be gradually adjusted from 60 days to 30 days to facilitate passengers in planning their itineraries reasonably. The official stated that, apart from the adjustment to the reservation date range, other services and rules for the train ticket reservation service currently piloted on the Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway and the Beijing-Shanghai Railway, such as ticket fulfillment, refunds, and changes, remain unchanged.
