Germany's Federal Motor Transport Authority issued a statement, and Volkswagen confirmed that due to a potential steering system hazard, it will recall approximately 2.86 million vehicles worldwide, including about 960,000 in Germany. The affected models include Volkswagen Tiguan, Touran, and Golf models produced between 2013 and 2024, as well as Audi models produced between 2017 and 2024. The Federal Motor Transport Authority stated that in the vehicles involved in the recall, the fixing bolts of the steering system may break due to corrosion, which in extreme cases could lead to steering failure.
