According to foreign media reports, only nine commodity transport vessels passed through the Strait of Hormuz on Thursday, eight of which exited the waterway. Thursday's total fell further, dropping from double digits to single digits, with the 10-day average transit volume at 18. The report stated that the nine tankers that passed through the Strait of Hormuz yesterday included one very large crude carrier, several Panamax and post-Panamax tankers, some short-range and medium-range smaller tankers, and one ballast very large gas carrier. Meanwhile, Windward reported that five tankers entered the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday, including one crude oil tanker, several product tankers, and one liquefied natural gas carrier. Against the backdrop of renewed escalation of hostilities this month, shipowners and energy exporters have become increasingly cautious about navigating the Strait of Hormuz.
