IDC: Global quadruped robot shipments exceeded 49,000 units in the first half of 2026, up 92.5% year-over-year.

According to the latest data from International Data Corporation (IDC), in the first half of 2026, global shipments exceeded 49,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 92.5%; the market size exceeded US$400 million. But more noteworthy than shipment volume is the revenue structure: education and research and household consumer use contributed about 60% of shipments but only less than one-third of revenue; while industry-level applications such as government, industrial manufacturing, and public utilities took away more than two-thirds of revenue with less than 40% of shipments.
