Solidigm is a U.S. subsidiary established by SK Hynix in 2021 after acquiring Intel's NAND business unit. Industry sources said on the 18th that Solidigm is examining site selection and detailed conditions, and plans to build a large-scale NAND production line in the eastern United States. If a large-scale production line is established in the United States this time, it will become its first domestic production base. Recently, there have been reports that Solidigm is considering cooperating with Intel in memory production, and rumors about its Nasdaq listing have also been persistent. An official from SK Hynix said: "Solidigm is reviewing various measures to enhance its competitiveness, but no measures have been finalized yet."
