Zhito Finance APP has learned that despite rising energy bills, UK retail sales unexpectedly grew in August, as warm weather and improved national sentiment stimulated consumer spending. The UK Office for National Statistics announced on Friday that UK retail sales grew 0.5% month-on-month in August, after falling 0.5% in July. Economists had previously expected a decline of 0.2% on average.
