Fed Chair Warsh said the U.S. economy has strengthened since Fed policymakers last met in June, the labor market is essentially at full employment, and inflation trends have shown no improvement. Warsh said, "Even in the past few weeks, I think there is now broad data showing that the economy has indeed strengthened. The underlying momentum of economic growth is strengthening. The problem is inflation, and the issue of price stability has persisted for more than five and a half years."
