The three major U.S. stock indexes closed lower across the board, with the Dow down 1.21%, hitting its lowest close since mid-June; the S&P 500 fell 0.44%, and the Nasdaq dropped 0.01%. Cryptocurrency-related stocks fell broadly, with Circle down more than 6%, Robinhood down more than 5%, Coinbase down more than 4%, Bitmine down more than 3%, and Strategy down more than 2%. SpaceX rose more than 5%, as Musk once again signaled that Tesla and SpaceX could merge.
