Beijing: New commercial housing sales area from January to August was 6.688 million square meters, up 1.6% year-on-year.

Data from the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Statistics shows that from January to August, the sales area of newly built commercial housing in Beijing was 6.688 million square meters, a year-on-year increase of 1.6%. Among this, the sales area of residential housing was 4.895 million square meters, up 12.5%; office space was 323,000 square meters, down 26.3%; and commercial operating space was 432,000 square meters, up 18.4%.
