This morning, China's first "molten salt energy storage + carbon dioxide power generation" demonstration project, "Ruitan," will officially break ground in Yantai, Shandong. The project is the carrier engineering project for the national major science and technology special project "Key Technology Development and Engineering Demonstration of Carbon Dioxide Thermal Battery," and is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2027. It is of great significance for promoting the large-scale application of new energy storage and supporting the green and low-carbon transformation of energy.
