Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei and Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff said that enterprises are only just beginning to harness AI tools, and that more help is still needed to fully realize AI's value. Speaking Tuesday alongside Benioff at Salesforce's annual Dreamforce conference in San Francisco, Amodei said the penetration of AI capabilities into the economy remains very low, with only 5%-10% of the technology's value currently being utilized. For the large enterprises that Salesforce primarily serves, the actual deployment of AI remains far from the future vision painted by tech executives like Amodei. Anthropic and Salesforce announced last month that they would expand their partnership to further integrate Anthropic's AI model Claude with Salesforce products. Benioff said that 7,000 Salesforce employees are currently using company tools integrated with Claude. He noted that AI adoption varies widely among enterprises, and "we have to do more to help customers accelerate their transformation."
