Regarding the video circulating online about "Baisheng Supermarket employees pouring frozen food from the floor back into the freezer," the Chengnan Branch of the Taixing City Market Supervision and Administration Bureau in Jiangsu Province issued a situation report: Upon investigation, during work operations, staff at Baisheng Supermarket improperly poured frozen meatballs that had scattered on the floor back into the freezer for storage. This conduct violated relevant food safety management regulations. Currently, law enforcement officers have sealed and seized 4.12 kilograms of the frozen meatballs involved in accordance with the law to prevent problematic food from entering the market, and have ordered the supermarket to empty the relevant freezer and carry out thorough disinfection. It may only be put back into use after passing inspection. At the same time, the supermarket is required to conscientiously carry out food safety self-inspection and self-correction and specialized education and training, standardize staff operating procedures, and strictly implement the primary responsibility for food safety.
