Zhejiang: By 2028, achieve full coverage of water source risk assessments, full coverage of facility hazard inspections, and full coverage of smart water intake monitoring.

The Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Zhejiang Province and 11 other departments recently jointly issued the Guiding Opinions on Further Strengthening Urban Water Supply Safety. The Guiding Opinions propose that by 2028, full coverage of water source risk assessments, full coverage of facility hazard inspections, and full coverage of smart water intake monitoring will be achieved; by 2030, a comprehensively built urban water supply safety guarantee system featuring water source safety assurance, reliable facility operation, dynamic risk monitoring, and integrated efficient operation and maintenance will be established.
