Dutch railway network hit by deliberate sabotage, transport disrupted in multiple locations.

On September 15 local time, the Dutch railway infrastructure operator stated that railway transport in multiple parts of the country was disrupted due to malfunctions, and the preliminary judgment is that the malfunctions were caused by deliberate sabotage. It is said that at around 5:30 a.m. that day, railway safety systems at at least 20 different locations malfunctioned, leaving the system unable to confirm whether trains were operating on the tracks, and the relevant signal lights turned red. Workers also found items deliberately placed on the tracks at multiple locations, including iron pipes. It is reported that because not all fault locations have been identified, workers need to inspect and repair the railway section by section, and it is currently unknown when railway transport will return to normal.
