According to CNBC, on Tuesday, as the Federal Reserve's interest rate decision approached, U.S. Treasuries faced further selling pressure, with the benchmark 10-year Treasury yield rising to its highest level since 2007, up more than 6 basis points on the day to 5.025%. The rise in yields occurred on the eve of the Federal Reserve's two-day monetary policy meeting. With August inflation still significantly above the Fed's 2% target, market expectations for a 25 basis point rate hike by the Fed have further intensified. According to the CME "FedWatch" tool, the market currently expects the probability of the Fed raising rates by 25 basis points at this meeting to exceed 92%.
