According to the latest issue of the journal Cell, a research team led by the University of Murcia in Spain conducted a small clinical trial showing that specially treated autologous bone marrow cells can enter bone tissue and may help patients with severe osteoporosis reduce fractures. This study not only provides a new therapeutic approach for osteoporosis patients, but also explores a regenerative medicine pathway that uses therapeutic cells to repair and rebuild damaged bone tissue.
