According to the China Earthquake Networks Center, a magnitude 4.5 earthquake occurred in Mojiang County, Pu'er, Yunnan, at 17:07 on September 14, 2026. To ensure the safety of passenger train operations, China Railway Kunming Group Co., Ltd. activated an emergency response, imposing a blockade on the relevant railway sections affected by the earthquake, urgently halting trains operating within the affected area, and arranging for the track maintenance, signaling and communications, and power supply departments to conduct comprehensive inspections of line equipment. As a result, some passenger trains on the China-Laos Railway will experience varying degrees of delay. The railway department reminds passengers to pay timely attention to changes in train schedules, to check 12306 SMS notifications and station announcements before traveling, and to plan their itineraries accordingly. Ticket refunds due to train delays or cancellations will not incur a refund fee, and passengers can process them online through the Railway 12306 mobile app.
