The Hong Kong stock market closed at midday, with the Hang Seng Index down 0.65% and the Hang Seng Tech Index down 1.99%. The Hang Seng Index Hong Kong Stock Connect ETF managed by Yinhua dropped 1.14%, while the Hong Kong Stock Connect Tech ETF managed by Penghua fell 1.53%. In terms of sectors, the environmental protection equipment and planting sectors recorded the most notable gains; on the other hand, the IT consulting and other services, and IT services sectors saw the largest declines. Among individual stocks, China Longgong rose 10.68%, Huazhu Group-S increased by 10.4%, Zhenro Properties rose 7.81%, Genscript Biotech jumped 7.59%, and Modern Dairy gained 7.04%; while Zhizhu fell 16.63%, Maifushi dropped 13.54%, MINIMAX-W decreased by 12.22%, Guofu Quantum fell 10.34%, and Zhongke Wenge dropped 10.0%.
