The "ferry vehicle" for the Lixun No. 1 space mission has completed important tests and is set for its first flight next year.

Recently, the Li Xun 1 upper stage, independently developed by China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, completed a series of power system tests and is scheduled for its maiden flight in the first quarter of next year. The upper stage functions like a "space ferry," generally installed between the rocket and the spacecraft it carries. After the rocket delivers them into space, it is the upper stage that completes the subsequent tasks of placing satellites into orbit.
