China, the UK, and Japan all reduced their holdings of U.S. Treasury bonds in June.
According to data from the U.S. Treasury, in June, the amount of U.S. Treasury bonds held by the UK, Japan, and China all decreased compared to May. Japan held $1.117 trillion in U.S. debt, a decrease of $26.4 billion from May; the UK held $939.9 billion, a month-on-month decrease of $8.7 billion; China held $633.4 billion, a month-on-month decrease of $26 billion.
