According to Goldman Sachs, global bond issuance decreased by 16% year-on-year last week, but the issuance since the beginning of the year is still 9% higher than the same period last year. Investment-grade corporate bond issuance surged by 60%, while high-yield bond issuance fell by 41%, and leveraged loan issuance plummeted by 88%. The financial sector saw a 38% increase in bond issuance, while structured finance issuance declined by 64%. Meanwhile, the assets of ETFs tracking the S&P and MSCI indices continued to grow strongly, rising by 32% and 36%, respectively.
