Today, journalists learned that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, market regulatory authorities have continuously increased the intensity of antitrust law enforcement. For four consecutive years, they have launched special actions against the abuse of administrative power to exclude and restrict competition, resulting in the legal investigation of 290 cases. In terms of the levels of involved parties, cases involving municipal and county governments and their subordinate departments account for over 95% of the 290 cases, indicating a prominent issue of grassroots illegal interference in market competition. In response, the State Administration for Market Regulation has improved the collaborative law enforcement mechanism at the bureau and local levels, strengthened the connection between law enforcement and fair competition review, and sought to resolve the obstacles and difficulties of improper grassroots interference in market competition through various means such as compiling and disseminating law enforcement guidance cases, organizing law enforcement salons, and providing regular business guidance. The market regulatory authorities are closely monitoring the pain points and difficulties that enterprises and the public strongly reflect, improving the communication mechanism between government and businesses, and advancing law enforcement in the social welfare sector.
